DIRECTIONS TO THE FESTIVAL

Travelling by road?
The Midland Railway Centre is on the B6179, one mile North of Ripley, signposted from Ripley town centre and from the A38, M1 Junction 28. For sat navs, enter the address: Butterley Station, Butterley Hill, Ripley DE5 3QZ. There is ample free parking.

Travelling by rail/bus?
Unfortunately the Midland Railway Butterley is not served by the national rail network. The nearest railway stations are Derby, Nottingham and Alfreton. Details of bus connections from rail station to the festival can be found below.

Travelling by air?
The nearest airport is East Midlands (code EMA) which is served by budget airlines such as BMI Baby, Easyjet and
Ryanair. The airport has dedicated bus links to Derby and Nottingham, from where the local services can be taken. Otherwise flying to London then travelling by train to Derby is an alternative.

Local minibus hire
Many people stay in surrounding towns like Nottingham or Derby and share a minibus fare to the Midland Railway Centre. Journey time is about 30 minutes, and pre-booking is essential. We can recommend the following:

Tel. 0800 678 5067
www.gusthebus.co.uk

Tel. 01332 757680

Car sharing
For those of you who can't make it by bus or who are coming from further afield, there is a solution: www.gocarshare.com. Car sharing will allow you to find fun people to share the journey with whilst sharing the cost of travel and hopefully making a difference to the environment. Simply go onto the website and log on via facebook; if you are planning on driving, just post a car share request to Ripley home of Indietracks Music Festival. In the message box you can outline any specifics such as the contribution you need for petrol money, and then sit back and wait for someone to contact you about sharing a lift. If you are a passenger wanting a lift type in Ripley and see which drivers are going there. Simple!
